I got an email today from my Father, letting me know that my Grandparent's log cabin burned to the ground yesterday. Both of my Grandparents are deceased, but my G'Pa's caregiver was living there- thankfully she was not hurt.
It is devastating to me to think that the house of my childhood memories is gone. Along with all the big things that were lost, were the 2 heritage scrapbooks that I made for my G'Pa, dating back to the late 1800's...it just is so hard to think of the photos and documentation of our family that was lost in the fire.
It has been a bad way to end an already bad day for me....

Oh my gosh, Lesa... I am SO sorry to hear your news. It is so sad to hear about the lost photos and obviously just the loss of a special place. ((HUGS))
{{Hugs}} <--and I really mean that.
What a sad thing. It must be hard to see that, with so many memories attached.
I am SO, SO sorry. Fire is one of my biggest fears...such devastation and heartache! Big hugs for you friend :(
Oh LL- that SUCKS. Your photo shows such devastation, I'm sure its hearthwrenching to see it and think about the loss. Hugs, friend.
I am so sorry to hear that! (hugs)
