Every year during the after Christmas sales, I buy myself an Amarylis. I dont know why I never think to ask for one on my wish list, but it is something I want every year. It always amazes me how fast they grow, you can almost see them do it!!
Guess it gives me a little taste of Spring, to watch something grow and become a gorgeous flower- this year's bulb is to be a red flower, I will post it when it opens..hurry up Spring!!

I second that...hurry spring. Your photo reminds me of a cat laying in a sun filled window. Sometimes I wish I was a cat!
Amaryllis plants are so cool! I'm looking forward to seeing the bloom on yours.
It looks beautiful - I remember those days of longing for spring. Luckily not a lot of dormancy here in the winter, though spring is more beautiful & "bloomy"!
